The logo, a buck - or stag at gaze was inspired by the family arms established in the mid-16th Century ("Vert. a stag at gaze, Or") and was most prominently the arms used by Lady Mary Morris, Countess of Dover who married Sir Will

The logo, a buck - or stag at gaze was inspired by the family arms established in the mid-16th Century ("Vert. a stag at gaze, Or") and was most prominently the arms used by Lady Mary Morris, Countess of Dover who married Sir William Cockayne and secondly, Sir Henry Carey, 1st Earl of Dover.
