Mary Van Helsing Mysteries

Mary van Helsing, a distant relative of the notorious Dr. Abraham van Helsing, was kidnapped during the French and Indian War by a Shawnee tribe. Now released, Mary tackles supernatural events reported throughout the Colonies. Set in Colonial America, ideal for young readers who enjoy historical and spooky adventures.

#1 Case of the Wooden Figurines

October 1762, Mary, who was originally taken as a captive by a Shawnee war party, has since found belonging in the five years she’s lived at the Mackachack village settlement. The events of Mary’s abduction were erased from her mind, and the Elders believe the Vision Quest is the only way for Mary to understand her past and develop herself as a woman. While on her way to the Well of Spirits, she stumbles upon a hidden campsite, where she finds two intricately carved wooden figurines - one resembling herself and one whose identity she cannot make out. As she undertakes the mission of identifying its creator, she finds herself in a larger conspiracy which threatens the tribe entirely.
